We build the systems companies with crews, jobs, equipment and documents actually run on — and we keep running them. That means operational software, quoting and document workflows, integration with the accounting and field systems you already have, and applied AI where it genuinely earns its place inside that software.
We work with businesses past the startup stage, where the process already exists and has outgrown the spreadsheets holding it together. Everything we build is scoped against your operation and owned by you.
Four Things We Build.
Each one is scoped against your operation, integrated with the systems you keep, and owned by you when it ships.
Operations We Understand.
Our deepest production work is in construction, trades and field service, and in industrial-services bidding. Each page states the workflows, where the scope stops, and exactly what proof backs it.
Systems Running in Production.
Three builds, live and in daily use. The figures are reported by the businesses running them, not independently audited.
“We were scaling and needed real systems behind it. AltaPro AI built us our own platform from scratch — jobs, crews, clients, map view, syncs to our books. Didn't have to explain how the trades work, they already knew it. Built fast, changes handled same way. Does exactly what we needed.”
“Helpful, Professional & Provide Great Service.”
Working Software, Reviewed Early.
We are an Edmonton firm that designs, builds, deploys and then operates what it ships. Builds are phased so you see working software early rather than waiting months for one launch.
The sequence
Discovery to Rollout
- 01Discovery — we map how the work moves today
- 02Scope agreement — what is being built, and what is not
- 03Working-software review at each phase
- 04Acceptance against the agreed scope
- 05Rollout to the people who use it
- 06Operating responsibilities, written down
Project fit
Who This Is For
Established operations with an existing process, real volume, and systems that have stopped keeping up — typically where spreadsheets and manual handoffs are filling the gaps.
Less good fit: pre-revenue ideas, a project looking for a use for AI, or a workflow an off-the-shelf tool already handles well. We will say so on the first call rather than after.

Settled Before We Start
- Where it is hosted and where data sits
- Who can see and do what
- What any AI feature processes, and what it does not
- Backups and what restoring looks like
- Ownership and export of your data

Start With a Scoped Automation Build.
The entry point into the studio. 30 minutes — we map your operation, find the hours you're losing, and hand you the build plan: cost, timeline, payback. Keep it whether you hire us or not.

What Owners Ask Us First.
The questions below come up on almost every first call with AltaPro AI — what a build costs, how long it takes, what happens to the software after it ships, and whether any of this works for a business with five people rather than five hundred. The answers below are the same ones we give on the phone at 587-937-6948. If yours isn't here, the full FAQ goes deeper.
What happens on the 30-minute call?
We map how work moves through your operation today, identify where it is costing you most, and tell you what we would build and what it would cost. If the honest answer is that custom software is not the right call, you get that answer instead. No commitment either way.
I'm not technical. Does this work for me?
That's the point. You run the business; the system runs in the background. Everything we ship is built to be used by your staff on day one, and rollout includes getting the team actually using it rather than handing over a login.
What kinds of businesses do you build for?
Established operational businesses — companies with crews, jobs, equipment and documents whose process already exists and has outgrown the spreadsheets holding it together. That covers manufacturing and fabrication, energy and industrial services, construction and trades, and field and service operations across Alberta and Western Canada. Less good fit: pre-revenue ideas, or a project looking for a use for AI.
What does a build cost, and how long does it take?
Scope drives both, so we don't publish a price list or a standard timeline — a number quoted before we understand your operation would be a guess. The 30-minute call is where cost and timeline get set, and both are written into a scope agreement before any work starts. Builds are phased so you see working software early rather than waiting for one launch at the end.
Are the results on this site real?
Yes. The case studies are real Alberta businesses, and the figures are reported by the businesses running those systems rather than independently audited — we say so on the cards. Where a figure is illustrative, such as the ROI calculator, it is labelled illustrative. We publish no fake logos, no invented statistics, and no star ratings or review markup anywhere on this site.
Who is behind AltaPro AI?
AltaPro AI is an Edmonton, Alberta software development company. We design, build, deploy and then operate custom software for our clients, and we build our own products: QuotingAI, live at quotingai.ca, and the free AltaPro AI School. Bid Pro's is a venture we are building separately, launching soon — it is not client work.
The whole point
Stop Doing Manually What Software Does Better.
Every business runs on a handful of jobs that repeat: answering the phone, writing the quote, chasing the follow-up, moving the same information between five places. AltaPro AI builds the software that does those jobs, then keeps running it. That is how a demolition contractor went from two to three hours per bid down to minutes, and how Kilt Contracting brought its back-office work into one operations system. The first call is free, takes 30 minutes, and ends with a scope and a number.
